Abercrombie Save Me from Your Campaigners!

It’s a take-off on the old Jesus, Save Me From Your Followers shirt. I was doing some research on the major gubernatorial candidates in Hawaii this year and despite Neil Abercrombie’s annoying Twitter campaigners (some of whom are friends I love dearly), I have to admit I’m leaning in his direction. I’ve respected Abercrombie since his days in local government, when his campaign headquarters was at the old Dickens Pub and he wore long hair and drove a yellow cab with his face painted on the side.
I’m undecided, but the man’s voting record is one I largely agree with, something his campaigners seldom point to; they seem more interested in repeating the soundbite rhetoric Mr. Abercrombie is far too skilled at.
I’m not yet decided how I will vote, but my grudging admiration for the candidate prompted this little activity. I’m considering printing one up for myself. Or maybe printing two and giving one to the candidate as a gift.
