- In what area of your life do you seem to have bad luck?
I’m awful with rolls of the dice. I don’t do too bad with cards, but dice kill me. - In what area of your life do you seem to have good luck?
I have killer luck with finding good parking spaces. The key is not to stress about it. Since I don’t really care whether I get good parking or bad parking, I get good parking quite frequently. - Who in your life seems to be expecially lucky?
This is of no real consequence at all, but Armand has always had ridiculous good luck with dice rolls whenever we’ve played Risk. I always say “suspiciously good” dice rolls, but of course I don’t think he’s cheating. Right? - What do you do when you need a little bit of luck?
Since I don’t believe in luck, when I need some, I try to create situations where I’m most likely to experience positive results. I take a good shower, get lots of sleep, and spend extra time on brushing my teeth. I guess that’s when I need a good day and know it ahead of time. Other times, when spontaneous luck is required, I close my eyes and try to float out of my body and into the cosmos. Which is funny, too, because I don’t believe in astral projection. - What are some of your daily rituals?
Left sock, left shoe. Right sock, right shoe. Always in that order. I pray for R every night at 9.
